Have you ever considered what the bathroom of the future will be like? Everything will be automatic, the chromed steel will gleam in the sterile lights and the toilet will know what kind of music you want to listen to while you read those Archie comics. We might not have sentient toilets yet (or ever, hopefully) but we have come a long way and it’s time to think about upgrading your most intimate of rooms.
If you touch the handle of bathroom faucets before you wash your hands and then touch it again afterward, you are inviting germs back onto your hands. Infrared activation is nothing new in this area, but it is not something that many home owners make use of. The technology is much cheaper than it once was so it’s time to rethink the sink.
Another place where you will see more infrared components is in commercial hand dryers. I’m not talking about someone paid to dry your hands for you, Mr. Moneybags. We’ve all been left with slightly warm but still soggy hands after a trying to dry your hands with the old style of hand dryers, but now the game has changed with hand dryers that use two sheets of air to scrape the water off your hands. These are all touch free and they work very well.
These are just two ideas for upgrading your bathroom. There are a ton of other ideas out there for you to explore and make use of in your new bathroom. These are the two most readily available and the most useful. You can get LED lighted shower heads that have touch screens built into them… but that’s just silly. You just need to know what to look for and make sure that your future bathroom does not become the centerpiece of your home.
